To end our lesson on money, as an extension we will walk to the store at the end of the road. Students will gain a lesson on financial literacy by making choices and learning about tax. Please send a $1.00 with your child by Thursday.
Since we had 100's Day, and TPRI testing last week we will stay on the same reading story, "I'm a Caterpillar." We have already taken our reading tests but this will give us time to revisit some skills such as fact and opinion; contractions; r-controlled vowels, /er/, /ir/, /ur/; and verbs.
In Math we will identify fractions, 1/2, and 1/4. We will learn to recognize and write the fraction.
In Science we will discuss Recycling. We will learn how to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Please help your child bring in something that can be recycled. Please don't send anything made of glass. We will sort paper, plastic, glass, and metal.
In Social Studies we will learn more about historical figures George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
