We will read "Where Are Our Animal Friends?" It is a drama or play that is intended to be acted out. The reading skills are to read words with comparative endings -er, -est; draw conclusions; identify contractions with not; consonant pattern -dge (soft j sound like in fudge, bridge); Saxon Phonics
In Math we will continue Fractions and identify parts of a set (Example 2 out of 4 are red) We will use M &M's, Skittles, and Smarties in our fraction lessons. We will read the books "When the Doorbell Rang", "Give Me Half" and "Fraction Action" to help students understand fractions.
In Science we will identify things that are living and nonliving.
In Social Studies we will learn about historical figures such as Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, George Washington Carver, and Richard Allen. We will also go back and review facts learned about Martin L. King Jr, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
