It was Kendall Bailey!  She is in 3rd grade and was in my class two years ago!  Wow! What a great job she did!  Thanks Kendall!

WE LOVE READING!
The boys and girls have discovered that AR testing is fun!  We have been busy reading and taking AR tests in class!  Remember to keep reading books at home.  They don't have to be AR just read!

REMEMBER
Please continue to practice spelling words at home as they become more challenging as the weeks go by.  Also remember to practice writing the two dictated sentences on the back of the spelling sheet that is provided on Mondays.  The sentences need to be spelled and written correctly on the test on Fridays.

Thanks and have a fantastic week!

We Are Off To A Great Week!

On Monday students brought in their disguised turkeys that they created at home.  WAIT...Did I say turkeys?  Where...?  So creatively disguised!

That's right I am NOT a turkey!

On Tuesday we got a wonderful treat for winning the canned goods competition!  Our class was pleasantly surprised when the nice man entered our classroom with a variety of pizzas, cookies, and soft drinks.

Mrs. Miller brought her reading primetime group to perform a Thanksgiving readers theater.

On Wednesday we had a special Thanksgiving treat.  The students brought different kinds of fruit and we put it all together and made "friendship salad."  It was so nice to sit and eat together while sharing kind words about each other.

On Thursday we were ready to head

to the Giddy Up and Learn concert!

On Friday we said "Happy Thanksgiving!"

PUMPKIN MATH ACTIVITY

Not sure what happened but our pictures from our pumpkin math activity got erased!  I just had to post them again. Our parents were so kind to come and help us weigh, measure, count the seeds and carve pumpkins.  Thanks so much to all of you!
