Way to Go Super Stars!
This week we are reading "A Southern Ranch," it is an Expository Text that tells about real people, places, and events. Our reading skills are to blend and read words with vowel digraphs -ie, -igh; read words with consonant patterns kn, wr; identify facts and details in a story; recognize adjectives; and practice Saxon Phonics words and fluency passages.
In Math we will identify 3D shapes. We will identify vertices and faces of geometric shapes. We will learn how to create different shapes when putting them together. Ask your child the difference between a 2D and 3D shape.
In Science we will continue to explore the characteristics of Living and Nonliving Things. We will be able to explain what makes an organism living and what makes it nonliving.
In Social Studies we will work on map skills and identify the 4 Cardinal Directions.
