This week we will read "A Trip to Washington D.C. It is an expository text that tells about real people, places, and events. Our reading skills are long o words spelled oa, ow; facts and details; adjectives; three-letter consonant blends (spl, thr, scr, str, etc.) and Saxon Phonics.
In Math we will identify 3D shapes. We will name the vertices and faces of solid shapes.
In Science we will continue learning about plants. We will name the parts of a plant and what function each part plays. We will learn how we use plants in our everyday lives.
In Social Studies we will continue recognizing landforms. We will learn about oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds, streams, mountains, plains, valleys, etc,

Sadly we said "good'bye" to our student teacher Ms. Higgs. Her last day with us was last Thursday. She will be finishing her student teaching in 3rd grade at ACW. We will miss her so much! She promises to come back real soon to visit. ♡
